How I Work

One of the first eye-opening things I learned both as a client and therapist, is that therapy creates a parallel to the real world. We build trust and safety with vulnerability, connection and a little humor in a bubble to mimic life on the “outside”.

My approach is from a relational-cultural perspective which is non-judgmental, authentic and collaborative with the goal of building connection. Therapy includes work and effort from both myself and my client and I’ll be sure to challenge you here and there. I like to be here to sit with your emotions and have serious moments, but I also find it important to laugh during session. I will always provide a safe space to talk about the most vulnerable things in life such as sex, family origin and our identities.

It’s sometimes easy for us to distract ourselves away from more difficult feelings. My goal is to help identify the feelings that you are experiencing, sit with them together and process so you can properly unpack in a place that feels okay.

My lived experience informs and guides the work that I am fortunate to do. It’s an honor and a privilege to be trusted to hold space for others in this way.
